I think that natural food is amazing! Naturally meaning that it comes from the ground, it’s not sprayed with chemicals, it wasn’t processed and added with preservatives or dyes. A lot of people have gotten onto this “natural” bandwagon and honestly who is to blame them? I mean common if I had just had a baby and someone told me basically most food is unhealthy then of course I would want to eat “natural foods”.
The problem with this equation is that food companies became really smart. A little too smart when they realized people were looking for natural foods even though they had no idea what this really meant when buying a box of crackers, almonds, seeds, trail-mix, and a host of other foods. Manufacturers thought that if they put natural on the box then everything would be great!
The issue lies in the fact that most people have no idea that simply by putting natural on a box means NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING! Natta, zip, you are better off buying the food that has no label whatsoever!
People need to be smart and be educated by someone like me that knows exactly what ingredients are and what to stay away from. When going into the grocery store you need to check the LABEL of a product to see what ingredients are in the food. The best thing to honestly do is buy foods that have no ingredients or at least very few. If it’s filled with a ton of ingredients, stay away! The food has no nutritional value whatsoever!
It’s honestly best to buy food in it’s whole form such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds that are USDA certified organic which usually has a sticker on it which is verified by an organization. The same goes with gluten free foods. If you are buying a gluten-free item, read the label. It could easily be filled with chemicals and sugar. Try buying only pasta that is made of brown rice that is organic and same for bread as well, read the labels!
Ok enough for todays rant, but seriously everything is in the label! Don’t be tempted by the big words they put on the front, they are trying to fool you! Don’t let them!
